The HoM Elective program helps to pair you to the University of Ghana for placements in healthcare or research.

We will facilitate contact to your department of choice and can also assist in organising airport pick ups and accommodation.

The University of Ghana is a prestigious institution, ranking 5th best university in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2024 by the Times and the best university in West Africa. The departments of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Science can accommodate placements for medical students/junior professionals of all healthcare subjects - let us know what you would like to do and we’ll help organise it!

The university also has a reputation for pioneering clinical and scientific research, and encourages collaboration from abroad. There are various research opportunities available.

Through HoM Electives, we will organise your placement with the relevant department, and help with all you need to get there safely. We can organise airport pick ups and accommodation on your behalf, and will have our representatives on site to assist with any queries you may have.
